Information
On this page, you will find useful information about my website, purchasing and receiving a painting, and a lot of other things that are good to know.
Purchasing a painting
You found a painting that you like. How can you buy it?
If you are interested in buying a painting, you can fill in the contact form at the end of each product page in the shop. I will then get back to you via e-mail to give you all the information you need. You can also message me on my Instagram account @celialoesch.art.
How can you pay for the painting?
Payment is made upon delivery / pick-up of the painting, since I want you to be able to see the painting in reality before committing to purchasing it. I accept payments in cash or via Digicash/Payconiq.
There is a painting in my portfolio that you'd like to buy, but it's not in the shop. Is there any possibility to buy it?
There are several possible reasons why a painting might be in my portfolio but not in the shop. If you are interested in buying one of those, you can contact me and I'll let you know if it is possible to buy the painting or not.
Receiving your painting
How can you receive the painting you want to buy?
Depending on your preference and location, as well as on the size of the painting, I will either deliver the painting to you or you can come pick it up at a location that we both agree upon.
What happens upon delivery / pick-up?
Upon delivery / pick-up, you need to check the painting carefully to see if it suits your expectations. After the payment is made, the painting is ready to move into its new home !
Returns
Are returns possible?
As you surely understand, I will not take back and refund a painting because of any kind of defect, as you need to inspect it upon delivery / pick-up and agree to purchase it in the exact state it is in at that point. I do not take any responsibility for damages occurring to the painting after your purchase.
Framing & hanging
Is a framing option available ?
I do not offer a general framing option for my paintings. If you wish to have your painting framed, I advise you to bring it to one of the many framing services available in local shops (for example in art supplies shops or hardware stores).
Does the painting come with a special equipment to hang it ?
My paintings do not come with any hanging equipment (i.e. sawtooth hanger, hanging wire, hooks...), since there are so many options for this equipment and it would likely need to be removed again if you wish to get your painting framed at some point.
You are of course free to install the option you like best on the painting yourself, at your own risk. The necessary equipment can be bought at art supplies or hardware stores. Sawtooth hangers, for example, simply need to be screwed into the wooden frame at the back of the canvas.
Alternatively, it is also possible to simply hang the painting on a screw in the wall via the wooden frame at the back of the canvas. This might be more risky, however, in terms of security and longevity of the painting's wooden frame.
About my paintings
The thicknesses of my paintings
My paintings come in two thicknesses - 2 cm and 4 cm. This will be specified in the painting's description. Also, I usually include a picture of the side of the painting if its thickness is 4 cm.
Please note that the 4 cm thickness allows smaller paintings to stand on their own (on a shelf for example) without the need to hang them onto a wall.
Are the pictures of my paintings true to reality?
The appearance of my paintings on the photographs may vary slightly according to the lighting the latter were taken in, the phone used to take them and the setting in which the painting is staged. This is why the white sections seem cooler (blueish) in some paintings, while they seem warmer (yellowish) in others, even though they all have the exact same white color.
Also, the appearance might vary according to the screen you use to look at it. Don't hesitate to contact me if you'd like additional pictures or a video of a painting you are interested in.
You might also find a video of the painting you are interested in on my Instagram account @celialoesch.art, in my story highlights called "Perspectives".
